GET HIP Workshop
Hip mobility = strength and flexibility
In this practical 1:30 hour workshop we will explore various hip joint movements (external/internal rotation, flexion/extension etc) and mobility drills.
Tight and weak muscle patterns lead to “holding patterns” in the body through how we sit, stand and other lifestyle choices. Learning how to mindfully release tension in the body while maintaining intentional muscular engagement allows the body to open and feel balanced. Through this action, the body can return to its place of homeostasis, easing daily aches, pain, and injury.
In this workshop expect to learn:
• How to align the hips preserving a neutral and relaxed lower back.
• How to create strength while improving flexibility.
• How to balance effort (muscle engagement) and ease (focused relaxation)
Practically you can expect to learn how to:
• Unlock hip flexors
• Awaken hip stabilizers
• Maintain neutral hip position
This class will be beneficial for everyone; yoga/pilates students, gym goers, runners or just people struggling through normal day activities!
